Assign leads (manual & self-assignment)

Sales Managers assign unassigned leads to Sales Reps, or Sales Reps self-claim leads from the queue.

When this happens: SM opens Unassigned Queue — selects leads — assigns. Or: SR clicks Claim on an unassigned lead.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Go to Unassigned Leads queue.

EasyCRM shows all leads where Owner IS NULL, sorted by Created Date (newest first).

  2. 2

Select one or more leads (max 200 at once).

  3. 3

Click Assign To — dropdown shows active Sales Reps. For SM: only their direct/indirect team members. For ADM: all active users.

  4. 4

Select a Sales Rep. Clicks Assign.

EasyCRM updates Owner on each selected lead. EasyCRM creates an activity entry on each lead: Assigned to [Rep Name] by [Manager Name] EasyCRM sends notification to the assigned Rep: You have been assigned [N] new lead(s) (in-app + email). Audit log entry for each lead: LeadAssigned. Leads disappear from the Unassigned Queue. Toast: [N] leads assigned to [Rep Name].

If something goes wrong

Lead already claimed (concurrency)

At , the lead was claimed by another Rep between page load and the click. EasyCRM shows: This lead has already been claimed by another user Lead disappears from the queue.

Self-assignment not enabled

SR's manager has not enabled Allow self-assignment The Unassigned Queue is not visible to the SR.

Assign to inactive user

Selected user was deactivated between dropdown load and assignment. EasyCRM shows: The selected you are no longer active. Please choose a different user
