Log activity (call, email, meeting, note)

An authorized user logs an activity (call, email, meeting, or note) against one or more CRM entities.

When this happens: You click Log Call, Log Email, Log Meeting, or Add Note from an entity detail page or from the Activities module.

Step by step

  1. 1

Select activity type (Call, Email, Meeting, or Note) via quick-action button or dedicated form.

EasyCRM shows the activity form with: - Common fields: Subject (required), Description (rich text, optional), Date/Time (default: now), Owner (default: current user), Linked Entities (multi-select, at least one required). - Type-specific fields: Call — Direction (Inbound/Outbound), Duration (minutes); Email — Direction, Email Subject; Meeting — Duration, Location, Attendees; Note — none extra.

  2. 2

Fill in Subject. Optionally adds Description.

  3. 3

Select or confirms linked entities (Contact, Company, Opportunity, Ticket). If opened from an entity page, that entity is pre-linked.

  4. 4

Fill in type-specific fields (e.g. Call duration, direction).

  5. 5

    Click Save.

EasyCRM checks: Subject 1–255 chars; at least one linked entity; type-specific validations. EasyCRM creates the Activity record. EasyCRM updates LastActivityDate on all linked entities to the activity date/time. Activity appears on the timeline of every linked entity.
