Manage tasks

A user creates tasks with due dates and priorities, tracks completion, and receives overdue reminders.

When this happens: You click Create Task from entity detail page, task list, or global + menu.

Step by step

    Click Create Task.

    EasyCRM shows task form: Subject (required), Description, Due Date (required), Priority (Low/Medium/High), Status (Open, default), Linked Entities (at least one), Owner (default: current user).

    Fill in Subject, sets Due Date and Priority. Links to entity.

  3. 3

    Click Save.

    EasyCRM creates the Task. Appears in the user's Task list view and entity timelines.

Other paths

Quick-create from task list

In the Task list, clicks + New Task inline row. Inline form: Subject, Due Date, Priority. Linked entity can be added after creation.

Bulk complete

Select multiple tasks in the list view — Mark Complete All selected tasks marked as Completed.

Overdue task reminder

Nightly job at 08:00 AM checks for overdue open tasks (Due Date < today). EasyCRM sends TaskOverdue notification to the task owner (in-app + email + SMS). EasyCRM sends TaskOverdue notification to the owner's manager (in-app + email). One reminder per day per task (prevents spam).

Task due today reminder

Morning job sends TaskDueToday notification for tasks due today.

If something goes wrong

No linked entity

If no entity linked. EasyCRM shows: A task must be linked to at least one record

Good to know

  • Tasks appear in both the Activity timeline and the dedicated Task list view.
  • Overdue reminders are sent once per day per task.
  • Default task list view: "My Open Tasks" sorted by Due Date ascending.
  • Overdue tasks are highlighted in red.
